Quality Matters Most

Quality and authenticity are the most important factors to consider when it comes to essential oils. You must be very careful when choosing an essential oil because NOT all essential oils are created equal! Most oils for sale are labeled to mislead you into thinking they are pure products, but look closer and you will find they are not. Here are some sad facts:

1. Once you know the chemical makeup of an oil, it is very easy to "replicate" in a lab. These oils might smell the same, but have none of the natural therapeutic properties of an authentic oil.

2. Essential Oil companies are allowed to label an oil as "100% Pure" and even "Therapeutic Grade", but are only required to have 5% essential oil in the bottle. Even worse, they don't have to tell you how they came up with the remaining 95%.

3. Essential oil purity begins with how the plant was cultivated and cared for in the ground. Factors like nutrient-poor soil, contaminated water, pesticides, fertilizers, and weed killers can leech into the plants and cause the essential oil to have chemical residues from this exposure.

Using an essential oil that is poor quality can at best have minimal effects and at worst have dangerous effects on your body. When you purchase a cheap oil at a retail store, you don't know anything about how the plant was cared for, how it was distilled, and if it has been adulterated or diluted with any toxic substances.

Cutting toxins out of our lives is so important and our health depends on it. Using cheap essential oils that have been adulterated or cut with synthetic fillers can be dangerous to your body and actually expose you to more chemicals. Essential oils are only worth using if they are they are the highest possible quality!
